If you love breakfast as much as I do, you’ll agree that a great hotel breakfast can set the tone for an amazing day. Over the past few years I’ve spent plenty of mornings exploring hotel breakfasts in Stockholm. While I haven’t tried every single one (a dream project for sure), I’ve gathered enough favorites to share this personal guide to the best hotel breakfasts in the Swedish capital. SMAKLIG MÅLTID as we say in Sweden!

Best hotel breakfasts in Stockholm (5 must-try spots – a personal 2026 guide)
#1. Ett Hem: Boutique luxury breakfast in Lärkstaden

Ett Hem tops my list for a reason. This boutique hotel offers a personalised, small-scale breakfast experience where everything feels carefully curated. Expect granola and yoghurt with fresh berries, artisan bread and beautifully presented small plates – the definition of a luxury hotel breakfast.
Why go: Truly memorable experience! This is for everybody who appreciates an elegant, slow-paced morning meal with fresh ingredients.

#2. Bank Hotel: Breakfast in a stylish setting

At Bank Hotel on Arsenalsgatan you don’t just eat breakfast – you savour it in a stunning former bank hall with midnight blue velvet and crystal chandeliers. The breakfast menu includes à la carte options like waffles and chia pudding, all served with top-notch service.

3. At Six: Contemporary breakfast near Brunkebergs Torg

While I’m not the biggest fan of At Six‘s minimalist guest rooms, the breakfast at Restaurant Dining Room completely won me over. Imagine fresh-pressed juices, chocolate milk, perfectly baked bread, avocado smash and chia pudding – all served beautifully with style.
Why it stands out: Stylish, modern breakfast environment. Balanced mix of healthy and indulgent options.

#4. Hotel Diplomat: Classic breakfast with Stockholm waterfront views

Hotel Diplomat on Strandvägen offers a generous breakfast buffet with options for every taste, paired with incredible views over the water. While breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, it’s worth it for the quality and setting.
Bonus: Guests can also order an á la carte breakfast item like overnight oats or smoothies on the side.

#5. Hotel Frantz and Hotel Ruth: Friendly, carefully curated and affordable breakfasts

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed but still special, the sister properties Hotel Frantz near Slussen and Hotel Ruth in Vasastan both serve beautifully curated breakfasts. Think fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, cheese, and house-made granola – plus a few fun surprises like chili scrambled eggs. Oh, and did I mention the cream cake and champagne?
Good to know: Breakfast at these hotels can be booked separately (around 300 SEK for non-guests).

More great hotel breakfast ideas in Stockholm: If you’re exploring beyond these five, Stockholm also has other notable breakfast options at hotels and restaurants throughout the city – from city centre spots with healthy options to classic buffets near scenic views. In addition to the spots above, I also love the hotel breakfast at the following hotels: Lydmar Hotel, Hotel Skeppsholmen and Villa Dahlia (ad links).
